UFC

There is nothing more true than the bible verse that Gabriel is currently memorizing about children being sinful from the time their mother conceived them.
This morning I found Emmanuelle, (who up until now, has had it so easy inside my womb), in a regular fighting match with herself. I can only hope she's battling against her sinful thoughts rather than waiting to enter the world with unsuspecting parents in a state of shock at her exploding temper.
At least then she'll live up to her name :)
For heaven's sake, Gregg and I will need God to be with us.

28 weeks and counting...

Last week I went to Laguna Beach for my last trip w/o a baby to care for. Unfortunately, the trip wasn't as relaxing as I thought it would be, since large hotels corospond with lots of walking. This has been precisely my problem the last few weeks with my Braxton Hicks contractions flaring out of control. My doctor told me that I "should" be on bed-rest, but will let me go to California on one condition: No Long Walks.

This didn't happen since the beach is quite the hike down a steep hill from the Ritz Carlton. I can't pass up the beach!

Now I'm home and exhausted and happy to see my husband. I'll be going on one more trip with Sonja's family and Gregg up to Canyon Fairy, where Jeff A. is taking us sailing overnight. I'm very excited about this :)

Pregnancy at 24 weeks.

So the time of wonderful, happy and comfortable mom has been a swift one. Reaching 24 weeks as of this past thursday has been the turning point of this pregnancy. Emmanuelle (which is what Gregg and I have firmly decided on as our child's name), has been doing the da Vinci stance:
Not a pleasant feeling as you can imagine :)

I've been having Braxton Hicks contractions frequently which makes standing or walking not very fun after a while.
I'll try to upload another video soon :)

"Behind a frowning providence, He hides a smiling face"

I'm feeling a little under the weather lately. Headaches (which are very rare for me), are now common morning events. Also I've been slightly nauseous the last couple of days. Of course I can still get around, but leaving the house a little tough at times: "Boo".
But I must say that the highlight of my evening was watching Wives and Daughters with my husband, who enjoys these "good" dramas as much as I do. In the middle of the movie, the sun peaked its shining face through the windy thunderstorm we just had, and shown a brilliant pink color in the clouds hovering around the Bridgers.
